This is an excellent music discovery, Bror Gunnar Jansson played lots of time in France and I wanted to discover his music. Folk blues, which in solo is very impressive and really deserves to be known.

I had the chance to meet him in Göteborg where he lives, and we were able to do this session in the very original museum Nostalgicum, that relates the lifestyle in Sweden in the 50's-60's.

From the first notes and raw rhythms, I discover the extent of his talent, and this scratched voice with impressive power.
Bror Gunnar Jansson plays 2 acoustic songs, an instimist moment, powerful and full of emotion at the same time.
 

Bror Gunnar Jansson

Originaire de Lerum, au nord de Göteborg, Bror Gunnar Jansson grandit dans une famille de musiciens : son père est contrebassiste et son grand-père était accordéoniste.

Ses inspirations musicales sont essentiellement le blues et le jazz (Pharoah Sanders, John Coltrane), le blues de John Lee Hooker, Charley Patton et Lightnin Hopkins ou encore Tom Waits.

En 2012, il sort chez The Greatest Records son premier album, "Bror Gunnar Jansson", remarqué par Télérama et Radio France, puis repéré par un label français, Normandeep Blues Records, il publie son deuxième album Moan Snake Moan en 2014, séduit les critiques musicaux et se produit sur les scène françaises.

Au total il compte 6 albums à son actif, le dernier "Faceless Evil Nameless Fear" sorti en 2021.
