Thanks to Instagram I discovered last summer, the band DUETS AND STUFF. The duo plays really nice melodic dream-pop. They are based in Uppsala, and I was able to combine 2 sessions the same day with them and the band Rånda. My first visit to this city, and a really great day.

Greta and Raimond took me to Gamla Uppsala in the north of the city. It is an archaeological site where the city of Uppsala was originally built. Armed with a guitar and a small xylophone, the duet offered us the songs "Already Gone" and "Serve Somebody", with minimalist melodies finely shaped.

Basés à Uppsala, mais originaires de Kiruna, DUETS AND STUFF est un duo de pop indépendante composé de Greta et Raimond.

Depuis le début du projet, Greta et Raimond ont développé des intérêts créatifs communs tels que la musique, la photographie et le graphisme.
Ils s’inspirent d’artistes comme The XX, Peter Bjorn et John, Feist et Foster The People.

Faisant partie du label Bolero Recordings, leur style minimaliste captive, et leur a permis de sortir trois singles jusqu’à présent, mais un album ne saura tarder.

DUETS AND STUFF se décrit comme un projet de bricolage facile à vivre avec des chansons écrites et enregistrées dans leur salon à la maison. Les chansons parlent d’interactions sociales avec des gens et de situations quotidiennes qui peuvent être stressantes. Ces sujets parfois lourds sont accompagnés de marimba et de carillons, un son qui est devenu une signature pour le duo.
