I've been dreaming of filming a session at Stadshuset, Stockholm's city hall for a long time. It is a very iconic place with its building visible from far away and on the shores of Lake Mälar. This place is very popular with tourists so the idea was to find someone up to do a session when the place opened at 8 am! Fortunately, I found the perfect artist, Arvid Lizell, new discovery and folk singer with a delicate and melancholy style.
With his first EP which has just been released "Sleeping Dunes" Arvid quickly propels us into his melodious and colorful universe. An airy and clear sound, he exudes talented energy and displays impressive wisdom in his compositions. Discussing hardships in his early twenties and presented through contemplation of the places he visited, Lizell searches for the best arrangements and forms a haunting soundscape fully in the era of time.
